Data & Analytics
The goal of Data & Analytics is to contribute making data available and reliable throughout the Schiphol organization. Binnen Schiphol is er een sterke focus op het worden van een datagestuurde organisatie om ook Europa’s Beste Digitale Luchthaven te worden. Projecten variëren van gate planning algoritmes, computer vision voor real-time analyses, slimme meters en sensoren om passagiersstromen te optimaliseren, tot dashboards voor luchthavenoperaties. De kracht van onze innovatieteams ligt in het leveren van oplossingen voor collega’s die toepasbaar zijn in hun dagelijkse werk. Om deze reden werken data-analisten, AI-specialisten, BI-specialisten en back-end engineers samen in een productteam.

The Role
As a BI Back-end Engineer Operations, you will be part of a multidisciplinary scrum team, consisting of a product owner, data scientists, data analysts, machine learning engineers, and a scrum master. You contribute to advanced forecasting models for passenger and baggage numbers and flows, essential for efficient operational and strategic planning of the airport. Within this team, you are able to propose and implement back-end applications based on functional questions that align with our architecture. You’ll work in a dynamic environment where continuous improvement is central. You’ll have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technologies and tools such as Databricks. Additionally, you’ll contribute to innovative projects that shape the future of airport operations.

Deze opdracht voor inhuur wordt gegund via een aanbestedingsprocedure. De opdrachtgever heeft specifieke eisen en wensen geformuleerd. Om in aanmerking te komen, dien je te voldoen aan de gestelde eisen. Daarnaast kun je extra punten verdienen door tegemoet te komen aan de wensen.

Eisen

  • Has at least 4 years of experience as a back-end engineer and some front-end developing experience.
  • Has at least 3 years of experience with DBT, Databricks, SQL, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Is able to work independently and proactively takes on tasks.
  • Is able to translate customer requests into a technical design.
  • Likes to bring structure to their work and has experience working in a scrum team (preferably has experience with Agile working also).
  • Has an eye for improving built reports and dashboards and wants to create real value for the business.
  • Is enthusiastic and proactive: you like to challenge yourself and your team to grow further. You are a sparring partner for Schiphol.
  • A VGB or VOG is required for assignments at Schiphol. The start date will only be discussed after receiving the VOG or the confirmation from the VGB.
