In a world of energy transition and advanced cloud computing, talking about it isn’t enough. At TenneT, we’re actually making it happen! TenneT is at the start of a journey to the public cloud. We are introducing new technology and will start moving applications from their current location in our IT systems to the Public Cloud (Microsoft Azure). For this cloud journey, we’ve entered into a partnership with Capgemini, acting as Managed Cloud Provider (MCP) and supporting TenneT to build, design, and maintain the Public Cloud.
The role
Within the MCP program we are looking for a senior cloud architect who can help us define and design architecture for our Azure platform. The following role description applies:
– Cloud Technical Principal: The architect will serve as the internal technical spokesperson for the enterprise architects, solution architects, and other technical stakeholders to collect requirements and determine the technical roadmap of the platform;
– Cloud Architecture Design: Architect, develop and align comprehensive cloud solutions that support TenneT’s strategic goals, IT leadership, operations stakeholders, application teams and managed services providers. Translate missing platform service catalogue items into actionable backlog items. Assist the platform owner with service portfolio prioritization. Assist application teams with onboarding to TenneT’s cloud platform;
– Platform Support and Development: Drive the architectural development and continuous creation and improvement of cloud platform services, enabling decisions on technical improvements and backlog prioritization;
– Collaboration and Coordination: Serve as a key member of the cross-functional team, working closely with the other disciplines to align platform development with migration efforts and the enablement of new cloud-based solutions;

Aanvullende informatie
– Leveranciers van kandidaten behoren op de hoogte te zijn van de geldende wet- en regelgeving op het gebied van arbeidsvoorwaarden en de (TenneT) cao. Deze inzet valt in schaal 8 van de TenneT cao;

Beschikbaarheid
– Het is van belang dat de kandidaat beschikbaar is voor de hele gevraagde periode in de aanvraag;
Eisen
- VOG (Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag) dient binnen te zijn voordat een kandidaat mag starten.
- Bij indiensttreding wordt standaard een Pre Employment Screening (PES) uitgevoerd.
- De kandidaat beschikt over een legitimatiebewijs (een paspoort of identiteitskaart), welke bij intake én op de startdatum van het contract van de kandidaat geldig is en ter controle kan worden overlegd.
- De kandidaat dient beschikbaar te zijn voor de hele gevraagde periode in de aanvraag.
Wensen
- Workshopping with the other cloud architects, on-premises architects, and engineers to define the required cloud architecture
- Designing cloud architecture patterns aligned with enterprise architecture principles and creating clear and concise diagrams and documentation
- Organizing and providing Azure workshops and hackathons to ensure knowledge based on the training plan is applied
- Supporting the technical administration of Azure and addressing/solving issues during the implementation
- Background in software development is a benefit to support in the creation of appropriate CI/CD solutions and cloud transformations
- Being able to get everyone on the same page and actively communicating on the made choices and design documentation
- Experience in working with Multiple MSPs inside a single IT environment, providing different managed services
- Knowing the architectural considerations when working with the following services:
- Azure networking (hubs, firewalls, ExpressRoutes, routing, DNS)
- Azure compute services (related to both traditional IaaS and transformative PaaS)
- Infrastructure as Code with the relation to CI/CD platforms (Azure DevOps/GitLab)
