Technical Application Manager Interconnects
For the team responsible for maintaining cross-border connections, TenneT is looking for a Technical Application Manager Interconnects.
Role
Design, develop, and maintain robust cross-border processes using Ansible, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, security, observability, and scalability.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust cross-border processes using Ansible.
- Containerize and deploy workloads to Kubernetes clusters using best practices for CI/CD, monitoring, certificate management, and fault tolerance.
- Implement comprehensive test coverage, including unit, integration, and system tests.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in testing and production through root cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
- Continuously improve codebases, deployment pipelines, and engineering practices.
- Collaborate in design discussions, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Participate in periodic standby/on-call rotations, approximately once every two months.
Practical information
Location: Arnhem. Working on-site is mandatory on Thursdays and Fridays. Other working days can be performed from home. During the onboarding period, additional on-site presence may be required, and flexibility is expected.

Eisen voor de opdracht Technical Application Manager -Interconnects
- Execution of this assignment is based on secondment. The assignment must be carried out in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Dutch DBA Act. Candidates may be asked to demonstrate how compliance will be ensured.
- Proven knowledge of and experience with Ansible development, with a focus on secure solutions.
- Experience with Python.
- Experience with SQL database platforms, preferably Oracle RDBMS.
- Interest in or experience with VMware or Kubernetes.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab, and modern DevOps practices including GitOps, observability, ECK/Elastic, and auto-scaling.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies such as Kanban and Agile/Scrum in cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is considered an advantage.
- Willingness to participate in night-time standby/on-call rotations approximately once every two months.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science.
- A valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) must be obtained before the start of the assignment.
- A Pre-Employment Screening (PES) and UVO screening are mandatory before commencement.
- A valid passport or identity card must be available at intake and on the contract start date.
- Availability during the entire requested assignment period.
